Balkans Multi-Country: Albania, Montenegro & North Macedonia

Three countries, one trip. Albania’s Ottoman cities, Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor, and Lake Ohrid on both sides of the North Macedonia border — a cross-border Balkans loop most tour operators don’t offer.

Overview

What this trip is

Duration
10 days
Countries
Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia

This is the trip for travelers who want the wider Balkans, not just Albania. Starting in Tirana, we cross north to Shkodër and into Montenegro for Budva's old town and the fjord-like Bay of Kotor, loop back through Albania to Korçë, and finish on Lake Ohrid — first the quiet Albanian shore at Pogradec, then across the border to UNESCO Ohrid itself in North Macedonia. Private cross-border transfers, boutique hotels throughout, and a dedicated trip manager who handles every border crossing — you just show your passport.

  2. Tirana to Shkodër

    Shkodër

  8. Cross to Ohrid, North Macedonia

    Pogradec

Cross the border via Qafa e Thanë (~1 hour) into North Macedonia. Explore UNESCO-listed Ohrid — the Church of St. John at Kaneo perched over the lake, Samuel’s Fortress, and the old town’s cobblestone lanes.

  9. Ohrid & Sveti Naum Monastery

    Ohrid

Boat trip along Lake Ohrid to the 10th-century Sveti Naum Monastery near the Albanian border, one of the most photographed sites on the lake. Afternoon at leisure in Ohrid’s old town.
