Kruja Castle and Old Bazaar Tour

Located 20 miles north of Tirana, Kruja is a historic Albanian city celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and status as the birthplace of national hero Skanderbeg. The construction of the beautiful and fascinating marketplace of Kruja dates back over 400 years, and was the starting point of free trade among the city’s most established merchants. It is in this particular bazaar that traders first began to officially exchange various kinds of goods with one another Ethnographic Museum: Built during the mid-18th century, in 1764, by Ismail Pashë Toptani, this Ottoman house is considered one of the most unique museums in Albania. It includes a total of 15 rooms which tell of work and family life in the town of Kruja.
